As a life time perfectionist it’s crazy to even whisper this statement but, in pottery, I truly get to enjoy my mistakes. It’s just me and the clay. Some days the clay wins and some days I do but it’s a mutual respect and joy that keeps me going. I will continually state that I am not good at pottery, I mean, my throwing skills would make you cringe, but the beauty that’s come out of these mistakes makes me step back and look at other thing in my life that were mistakes but turned out beautiful! That little lump of clay just saved me thousands in therapy.
